Trip Overview
An English Holiday: Walking in the Footsteps of the Women of England is a 7-day luxury small-group journey through England that reclaims the stories of the queens, scholars, writers, and revolutionaries who shaped the nation. Running Sunday 15 to Saturday 21 November 2026 and limited to 10 women, it travels from the honey-hued villages of the Cotswolds and Georgian Bath to the academic heart of Oxford and the twinkling festive markets of London, blending boutique hotel stays with private guided touring, immersive storytelling, and privileged access. Set at England's coziest and most radiant time of year, it's a celebration of female resilience, creativity, and power.
Highlights include a specialized private walking tour of Bath tracing figures from the goddess Sulis Minerva to Jane Austen and Mary Shelley, a stop in Castle Combe (often called the prettiest village in England), a behind-the-scenes tour of Sudeley Castle — the resting place of Katherine Parr — with a private Champagne cream tea, a guide-led tour of Oxford's Dreaming Spires, a Suffragette walking tour through Westminster and the West End, and time among London's festive markets before a glittering farewell dinner. The walking is gentle — short tours of a few kilometres with minimal elevation — making it accessible while still deeply immersive.
The price includes private transportation throughout, expert guides, personal hosting and support, admission to all scheduled attractions, all taxes and service fees, six nights accommodation, and a generous meal plan (daily breakfast, 2 lunches, 2 afternoon teas, and 3 premium dinners). Guests need to arrange their own airfare and travel insurance, and should budget for meals during free time, gratuities, and any additional tours or expenditures during free time.
